KPFF provided structural engineering services for a new 62,000 sf basketball arena on the University of Idaho campus with a capacity for up to 4,200 people. This building will be a gathering place for campus sporting events, concerts, and more. This mass timber project will use wood harvested from the state of Idaho, becoming one of the most iconic wooden structures in the state. Stakeholders are excited about the sustainability and economic opportunities that the new stadium will bring to the University of Idaho. The mass timber featured in this project includes long-span king-post roof trusses, glulam columns, cross laminated and dowel laminated floors.
