Forefront + Framework

A major tenet of our approach is ensuring every employee has access to growth opportunities. Each KPFF office tailors training to its local team, leveraging tools that recognize and amplify individual strengths. Understanding what makes each of us unique allows us to create stronger teams and engineer better solutions.

Our Forefront education programs offer structured pathways for professional development throughout different phases of an individual’s career. From their initial introduction to KPFF’s foundational values in Base Camp to the Leadership Development Program (LDP) which helps individuals build skills to become effective leaders, our Framework informs the culture and tools that are foundational to our programs.

Engineering Opportunities for All

KPFF Women’s Summit: Since 2022, KPFF employees committed to advancing opportunities for women in the AEC industry have gathered annually to discuss relevant topics and support one another in their shared mission. This has led to the formation of the KPFF Women’s Network, where employees connect with mentors and peers. In just three years, the number of women leaders at KPFF has nearly tripled – a testament to the power of community, mentorship, and a supportive culture.

10 Years of LDP: With over 50% of our current owners as graduates, KPFF’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) has been a catalyst for growth. Each year, a cohort of 12-15 team members join the program, utilizing tools like SDI, Working Genius, and CliftonStrengths to develop leadership skills to drive our firm and industry forward.

LeaderFlow Partnership: KPFF partners with LeaderFlow, an organization dedicated to bringing together accomplished leaders and diverse mid-career professionals to connect and grow. KPFF Principals serve as “Flowcilitators,” leading sessions and connecting with rising industry professionals. In its first 3 years, LeaderFlow has successfully equipped 175 professionals to achieve the next step in their career.
