I had the privilege of attending the ACE National Board Meeting. Each year, the three national finalists for projects of the year are given the opportunity to travel to Washington DC to present their projects to a panel of judges and the entire national advisory board. The three projects were incredibly inspiring, with the winners from Nevada presenting their proposal (board at left) for a memorial on the Las Vegas strip to honor those lost in the tragic mass shooting that took place there. It is amazing what a group of high school students can do with the support of ACE Mentors.
