Opened in 2020, KPFF’s Austin Texas annex office is growing rapidly and is able to provide in-person support to our clients in Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area with the full expertise and diverse specialties of our San Diego and Los Angeles home offices.

Our Austin office recently opened its physical office location in February 2023.

Growing Our Presence in Texas

In just our first two years in Texas, we have already completed over 30 projects totaling roughly 580,000 square feet of building space, mezzanines, and platforms supporting specialty equipment.

Ben Hicks is an Associate and Project Manager, and is helping pave the way for us in our new Austin office. Ben received his M.S. and B.S. from Cal Poly SLO, and specializes in heavy manufacturing, hospitality, and solar projects. Ben's hobbies include working on his house, supporting local (and not so local) breweries, playing video games, and learning the art of Texas BBQ.

Kira Mitchell is an Associate and Project Manager and has worked on a broad range of projects across multiple states. She has 10 years of experience in civil engineering, and her portfolio ranges from Higher Education, to Sports, Commercial, Healthcare, Civic, Residential, and Design-Build projects. She brings a high level of energy, support, and problem solving to her work and relationships. Her hobbies include exploring Texas State Parks and eating her way through the Austin food scene.
