KPFF provided structural engineering services for a new, 95,000-SF Student Recreation Center for California State University – Fullerton. The Recreation Center consists of three seismically separate buildings. The two-story facility includes a cardio fitness training studio, weight training area, indoor running track around its perimeter at the second floor level, multi-court gymnasium, 34-foot climbing wall, racquetball courts, multipurpose rooms for group exercise, dance and yoga classes, and an outdoor swimming pool. The center also has gathering spaces for socializing, including poolside lounge chairs and an area for barbequing.
