Central West End
MetroLink Station

Modification and redevelopment of the existing light rail MetroLink station that serves the BJC medical complex in the Central West End neighborhood.

The project includes a new glass-covered steel canopy structure on the existing platform, relocation of the glass-covered steel elevator structure, a new steel-framed welcome center structure supported on a new extension of the plaza over the MetroLink tunnel, a new stair from street level down to the platform area, and new screening walls.

Structural Engineering firm Werner Sobek provided Schematic Design and Design Development for the platform canopy and elevator structures only, with KPFF taking over responsibility during Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
