Hidden Creek Community Center

KPFF provided civil and structural engineering services for the two-story, 51,500sf mass timber facility featuring a two-court gymnasium, cardio rooms, weight rooms, two exercise/dance rooms, and community rooms. As this project denoted the first use of Mass Timber construction for a recreational facility, the design team tackled some unique challenges with the project from the start, including long-spans, vibration considerations, multiple programs and irregular layouts all stacked against the use of this new technology. The final product, a state-of-the art event facility that boasts exposed glulam beams and modern architecture, will be reveled in the community for years to come.
