On-site Stormwater Treatment
KPFF was the prime consultant and civil engineer for design of a roundabout at the intersection of Newberry Hill Road, Silverdale Way, and Chico Way. The project included realignment of three road approaches, storm drainage improvements, utility coordination, frontage improvements, illumination, and public involvement. The site is bordered by wetlands and Koch Creek, which has experienced severe flooding and erosion in past winters. Downstream analysis and mitigation of impacts were included in this project. A large lift station is concealed from public view by newly installed landscaping. KPFF worked with the local property owners and the client to develop a new frontage road to relocate local resident access away from the new roundabout.
