The project includes the construction of a approximately 25,000 square feet Intrepid Spirit Center to serve as a satellite to the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoe). Supporting civil engineering site features and infrastructure for the 3.4-acre site include building pad preparation, site parking, stormwater management, and several new utility services. The building serves as a means to extend mental health care and treatment to the home base of Camp Pendleton military personnel. It’s one of many Intrepid Spirit Centers across the nation which offers comprehensive and interdisciplinary care for military personnel on-base with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and post-traumatic stress (PTS).
