Rockwood Village

Designed around an existing grove of old Douglas Fir trees and a new public park, Rockwood Village is the largest new housing community in the Rockwood neighborhood of Gresham. KPFF provided civil engineering design and surveying services for this workforce housing community and privately funded public park. The site includes five, 4-story apartment buildings and a community building with a large gathering space, full kitchen, business/computer room, and study/conference rooms. Flexible outdoor spaces include a playfield, walking paths, picnic areas, a playground, and a large community garden. Pedestrian paths provide a connection between the Rockwood Village community and the adjacent school and local amenities. A new street bisects the property to provide residents with direct access to public transportation, retail, and services along the major arterial streets.
