The split level, seven floor structure, encompasses 359,000-GSF on UC San Diego’s La Jolla Health System Campus. The design integrates the building into the natural topography of the canyon, includes diversity of angles which create open, light-filled interior spaces enabling the occupants to connect with the outdoor environment from various vantage points within the structure. The floors are arranged in a five-sided polygon enclosing two terraces. The building accommodates 52,000-ASF of research and core laboratories; 66,000-ASF of dry research space; a large animal vivarium, multiple conference rooms and a large lecture hall; offices for CTRI administration and the SCVC; and other facilities.
