Soma is responsible for client contact, developing structural framing systems, managing project budgets and schedules, coordinating with architects and contractors, and supervising the overall structural design and production of construction documents. Dr. Hosahalli has almost 40 years of experience in the structural design of high-rise office buildings, parking structures, hotels, residential buildings, healthcare facilities, pedestrian bridges, educational buildings and government facilities. His expertise includes the design of seismically base-isolated buildings and seismic retrofit design, and he has extensive experience in evaluation of potential structural systems, selection of cost-effective framing systems, seismic analysis, and design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and masonry structures.
